Kara has a strong technical background in hydraulic engineering, with expertise in managing hydraulic design projects, physical modeling, and computational fluid dynamics. Her project experience spans pump intake design, sediment management, fluid conveyance, spillway design, water treatment, bridge crossings, and intake structures.
In addition to her technical work, Kara leads the quality management program for NHC’s BC branches, manages the Squamish office, and serves on NHC’s Board of Directors. She is also a committee member and educator for the Hydraulic Institute Pump Intake and Pump Piping Design Standards.
