Darren is a hydraulic engineer with extensive experience in hydraulic structure design, river engineering, stream restoration, and streambank protection. His expertise also includes physical modeling of dams, rivers, fish passage, wastewater, and stormwater facilities, as well as advanced 1D and 2D hydraulic modeling.

Much of Darren’s design work centers on addressing sediment transport and aquatic species passage, balancing the complexities of natural systems to achieve sustainable solutions that integrate sediment, hydraulic, and biological needs. Building on doctoral research in bedload transport, stream restoration, and advanced hydraulic design, Darren brings both field and laboratory experience in sediment sampling and experimental data collection.
