Matt has extensive experience in hydrotechnical engineering projects across British Columbia, the Yukon, Washington State, India, and Brazil. His recent work has focused on hydrotechnical design and effects assessments for large bridge and tunnel crossings in the Fraser River.

Matt’s expertise includes scour and erosion protection for bridges and pipelines, sediment management, flood hazard mitigation, channel design and rehabilitation, aquatic habitat enhancement, aquatic effects assessments, and dam decommissioning. Notably, he recently evaluated the hydraulic and morphological impacts of replacing the Pattullo Bridge in the Vancouver metropolitan area. At NHC, Matt enjoys collaborating with highly motivated and skilled teams to deliver innovative and practical engineering solutions.
