Alberta

The original birthplace of NHC, the Alberta branch was established and incorporated in Edmonton, Alberta in 1972 by Dick Cooper and Art Charbonneau. The Edmonton office began as a physical modelling lab in a warehouse bay where a sump pump was installed, lab equipment and materials were purchased, and a concrete block-flume for model studies was constructed. Today the office has grown into a facility that includes space for 31 staff located in Edmonton and Calgary, in addition to a functioning lab.
