A combined sewer overflow (CSO) management plan was also developed to maintain compliance with standards for overflow structures located downstream. Based on bathymetric surveys of watercourses, all networks (pipes and watercourses) were modeled in an integrated manner using PCSWMM software to establish current conditions. The modelling results were used to improve both the pipe networks and watercourses in the area considering future development. The resulting master plan, complete with cost estimates and implementation phases for the various interventions, is an essential planning tool enabling the City to manage urban expansion while minimizing the hydrological impacts of the urban development.
Provided a comprehensive infrastructure planning framework that supports sustainable urban growth, protects water resources, ensures regulatory compliance, and helps the City of Saint-Jérôme make informed long-term investment decisions.
