Vanessa is a hydrotechnical engineer specializing in large-scale hydrodynamic modelling for flood studies. She is skilled in HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), TELEMAC2D, River2D, and DHI’s MIKE11, MIKE21 FM, and MIKEFlood modelling packages.
She has served as lead hydraulic modelling engineer for numerous flood mapping and climate change studies across British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, and internationally, working with municipal and provincial governments, the Fraser Basin Council, First Nations, and BC Hydro. In recent years, Vanessa has led teams of engineers and GIS specialists through all project phases, ranging from survey and model planning to the production of final floodplain maps.
