Malcolm is an experienced surface water hydrologist with broad expertise in hydrologic data analysis, modeling, and water resource management. Over his career, he has developed and applied hydrologic models for design flood estimation, flood and snowmelt forecasting, and urban stormwater design.
He has worked extensively across western North America, South America, and South Asia, contributing to projects ranging from spillway design flood evaluations in Canada and the US to low-flow navigation studies in Brazil and large-scale flood management efforts in India and Bangladesh.
