Piotr focuses on developing innovative projects that advance understanding of watershed hydrology and water-related geophysical processes through monitoring and analysis. His work aims to improve the stewardship and management of water resources in the face of changing climate and environmental conditions.

Recent projects include floodplain mapping for the Okanagan, Nass, and Still-Brunette River systems, the development of British Columbia’s Flood Design Guidelines, and watershed and coastal monitoring for the City of Surrey.

Piotr’s expertise spans hydrology, hydrologic modeling, predictions in ungauged basins, and field instrumentation and monitoring. Most recently, he has led the Province of British Columbia’s Regional Flood Frequency Analysis Project and the Okanagan Basin Water Board’s Floodplain Mapping Project, contributing to more resilient and informed water management across the province.
