Grant is a senior coastal and dredging engineer with extensive experience as a project manager and discipline lead on projects ranging from large harbour and marina developments to small shoreline restorations. His expertise includes concept design, construction supervision, field data collection, and the use of physical model studies for detailed design.
Grant’s physical modelling work encompasses ship motion studies, breakwater stability investigations, and sediment transport modelling, conducted both as a consultant and at the NRC laboratory in Ottawa. He has also applied a wide range of numerical models to study wave, coastal, and dredging processes. Recent projects include evaluating future coastal hazards from sea level rise and developing a climate change adaptation roadmap for the Port of Vancouver.
