Brady specializes in hydropower, floodplain management, river engineering and sediment transport. He has been directly involved in the development and assessment of design alternatives for fish passage, erosion control, floodplain management, and in-stream water diversions. He has worked on a multitude of projects that involve integration of one- and two-dimensional hydrodynamic models to design alternatives in the fields of sedimentation, restoration, and bank stabilization.
Brady has worked extensively as a floodplain manager for local municipalities and water districts assessing existing and proposed hydraulic infrastructure projects in developed or planned development areas. He has experience leading large dam and fish passage projects for NHC where he manages NHC’s technical experts and interacts with other agencies and consultants to work towards a successful final product. He also has experience coordinating with regulating agencies including DSOD, NMFS, CDFW and FERC to provide analysis and alternatives that address specific requirements or address specific recommendations.
